Mariana Lapidus has worked as a reference and instructional librarian at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (MCPHS), Boston campus, since 2001, when she graduated from Simmons Colleges (Boston) with MSLIS degree. Mariana has over 15 years experience working at academic and medical libraries in the U.S. and Russia, where she earned her baccalaureate degree in Library and Information Science from the Academy of Culture (St. Petersburg). Being a liaison to the School of Pharmacy and the Forsyth Dental School at MCPHS, Mariana is actively involved in teaching required and elective information literacy courses for pharmacy and dental hygiene students. Her research interests include bibliographic instruction in higher education, drug information searching and evaluation, complementary and alternative medicine information resources. Mariana is an active member of MLA, AACP, and NAHSL. |
