I am currently the Manager, Digital Research at Maple Leaf Foods’ ThinkFOOD! Information Café in Mississauga, Ontario where I created a physical library, implemented an automated library software system and contribute to aligning the goals, services and activities of the ThinkFOOD! Innovation centre with the strategic goals of the company. Previously, as the Senior Information Specialist at the Sidney Liswood Library at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, I used my scientific research and my library science skills to support a university's mission of teaching, research and public service. I have Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Library Information Science degrees from the University of Western Ontario. I developed my critical appraisal skills by twice attending McMaster University’s "How to Teach Evidence Based Clinical Practice" workshop as a teacher librarian and my leadership and managerial skills have been honed by serving a term as the President of the Ontario Health Libraries Association. |
