Ann Owens earned her MLS at the University of Hawaii, and then worked in the Hawaii State Public Library System at six branches on three islands. For the last 20 years, she has been a reference librarian at Sacramento Public's Central Library, where she now supervises the library system's centralized telephone service, manages the e-subscriptions, and proselytizes to staff and public about the library's e-services - including Info Quest text reference.
