Joe Murphy, Librarian, is a library futures consultant passionate about empowering creative partnerships with and beyond libraries. He has worked as a Science Librarian at Yale University and as Director of Library Futures with Innovative. Joe Murphy earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Hawaii and an undergraduate degree in Physics previous to that.

Joe advances the industry in the face of its challenges by making connections and expanding creative solutions. He plots opportunities, inform product and service directions, connect leaders with visionaries and clients, establish innovative projects that inspire potential partners with a focus on analyzing the impacts of technology and cultural trends. 

Joe has been a heavy contributor to the conversation about the evolution of libraries through keynote presentations to library groups around the world and through books and articles.
