In his career as an Alberta librarian, Dean Frey has managed Library and IT Services for a Provincial Government Department, led a project to connect 300 public libraries to the Internet, and acted as Impressario for the 2010 Wild Rose Shanachie Tour.  He was the first Chair of The Alberta Library, a consortium of public, academic, and special libraries.  He is currently Director of Red Deer Public Library.
