Michele McNeal, Web Specialist, Akron-Summit County Public Library
Michele McNeal is the Web Specialist at the Akron-Summit County Public Library. She is responsible for developing and managing the Library's Website, Intranet, and III WebOpac, as well as for assisting staff with blogs on WordpressMU and digital collections using Content DM. She creates, maintains and articulates with these various websites a variety of databases and applications for the Library's staff and customers. She holds an MLIS from Kent State University, as well as a BA in French from the University of Akron and has completed an education certification program at that same institution. Prior to her current position she served as a Reference Librarian in the Science and Technology Division and as the Coordinator of Information Services at the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education.
