American Library Directory On the Web— Popular Print Directory Now Available Online

May 12, 2004, Medford, New Jersey—Information Today, Inc. (ITI) is excited to announce that the long-awaited online version of its American Library Directory (ALD) is now available. ALD On the Web includes all the information found in the popular print directory, and is continuously updated to give you access to the latest library information.

The print version of ALD is now in its 57th edition and is the only guide that contains the most current information on every library and library network, service, or program across North America. It contains detailed profiles of more than 30,000 public, academic, special, and government libraries and library-related organizations in the U.S. and Canada—including addresses, phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, expenditures, holdings and special collections, key personnel, special services, and more—over 40 categories of library information in all.

With ALD On the Web, you have the advantage of accessing all of the available information right on your computer. Bring your library search capabilities to a whole new level with ALD On the Web. The following are just some of the ways that librarians,

publishers, and service providers can use ALD On the Web:

• Locate libraries, consortia, library schools, colleagues, resources, and qualified prospects with ease.
• Search by library type or location to identify libraries and special collections.
• Identify all libraries that meet certain criteria—holdings, staff size, expenditures, income, and more—with a single search.
• Combine search categories to meet the most complex and exhaustive library research needs.

With several different levels of paid subscriptions ALD On the Web also allows you to tailor your subscription to fit your searching needs. For information and pricing on multi-user and raw data contact Lauri Rimler at (800) 409-4929, and press 1.
