New Edition of American Library Directory 2004–2005 Now Available from Information Today, Inc.

May 5, 2004, Medford, NJ—Information Today, Inc. (ITI) is pleased to announce the publication of American Library Directory 2004–2005 (ALD). Now in its 57th edition, ALD is the source to turn to find anyone or anything within the library community.

Called “simply indispensable” by Reference and Research Book News, ALD is the only guide that contains the most current information on every library and library network, service, or program throughout the U.S. and Canada. Organized by state and city, ALD contains detailed profiles of more than 30,000 public, academic, government, and special libraries. Each profile includes everything, from addresses, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses to holdings and special collections, expenditures, and key personnel.

ALD makes it easy for every member of the library industry to:

• Contact colleagues, other libraries, or library organizations.
• Locate special collections, rare book and document holdings, and manuscript collections.
• Compare a library’s facilities, services, and expenditures with other libraries of the same size/type.
• Find out about seminars and in-service educational programs.

Whether you’re a public librarian, a printer, or an author, you’ll find whatever information you need with ALD. Publishers and service providers use ALD to qualify prospects and find new sales leads. Additionally, the information available about library expenditures and budgets is helpful in planning marketing strategies and identifying likely prospects for specialized products and services.

For the first time, American Library Directory is now available online. Including all the information from the popular print directory, ALD On the Web is a way to raise your library search capabilities to a whole new level. Continuously updated, this brand-new online edition lets you combine more than 40 search categories to meet the most complex library research needs.

American Library Directory 2004-2005 (May 2004/c. 3,900 pp./2-vol set/hardbound/
