April 15, 2004, Medford, NJ—More than 2,400 librarians and information professionals gathered in Washington, D.C. from March 10th through the 12th for the Computers in Libraries 2004 conference and exhibition.

Sponsored and organized by Information Today, Inc. (ITI), Computers in Libraries again brought together professionals from all over the country and the world to learn about and discuss the future of technology in libraries. Computers in Libraries is the most comprehensive conference and exhibition on all aspects of library and information delivery technology.

The 19th annual conference featured more than 100 dynamic speakers over four simultaneous tracks, plus three dynamic keynotes as well as pre- and post-conference workshops and an entertaining and informative evening program. Of special interest was the Internet@Schools East conference, which consisted of four half-day program

tracks and 20 knowledgeable speakers. From the opening keynote on blogging in the classroom to the endnote on teaching with computers and curriculum integration strategies, Internet@Schools East challenged, inspired, and informed school library media specialists and technology center managers.

The exhibit hall at Computers in Libraries showcased more than 50 booths, offering visitors a choice of products covering all aspects of library technology, including Web-based products and services, integrated library and information systems, online services, document delivery services, Internet software tools, content suppliers, search services, and more.
