Computers in Libraries Exhibition Opens March 14th at Washington Hilton and Towers

February 1, 2001, Medford, NJ — The Computers in Libraries 2001 (CIL 2001) exhibition will open its doors at the Washington Hilton and Towers in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, March 14 at 9:45 a.m. 

The three-day event (March 14 – March 16) will house over 100 booths featuring the top companies in the library and information service industry, including:

The exhibition will offer visitors a chance to experience products and services in all aspects of library technology, including Web-based products and services, integrated library and information systems, online services, CD-ROMs, document delivery services, Internet software tools, content suppliers, and much more.

CIL 2001, which is sponsored and organized by Information Today, Inc. (ITI), will also boast new networking opportunities this year. On Thursday, March 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. attendees are invited to come and meet the staff of Computers in Libraries magazine. Editor Kathy (Miller) Dempsey and managing editor Kimberly Mestrow will be available to discuss content and article ideas during this “Meet the Editors” event. ITI’s Book Division editor, John Bryans, will also be on hand to greet potential book authors.  At other times during the conference this space on the show floor will serve as a meeting place for informal interaction among various conference speakers and industry pundits. 

In addition, ITI will be hosting two free receptions in the exhibition hall on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The exhibit hall will also house an area where attendees can check their e-mail. Free exhibit hall passes are available at https://www.infotoday.com/cil2001/tickets.htm.
