Amelia Kassel
is president and owner of MarketingBASE, a leading information brokerage
specializing in market research, competitive intelligence, and worldwide
business information. Kassel, who earned a master's degree in Library Science
from University of California, Los Angeles in 1971, combines an in-depth
knowledge of information sources and electronic databases with business
and marketing strategies. She has taught for more than 12 years at the
graduate level and currently teaches a course on “How to Conduct Internet
Research for Competitive and Market Intelligence” at the University of
California, Berkeley Extension Marketing Program. Kassel also operates
