Computers
in Libraries 2000 15th Anniversary Marked by Packed Sessions and Busy Exhibit
Hall
Medford, NJ, April 7, 2000— A premier event on library technology, Computers in Libraries 2000 took place March 15-17 at the Washington Hilton & Towers in Washington, DC. Sponsored and organized by Information Today, Inc. (ITI), this annual event again proved successful in helping information professionals deal with technology issues and the changes taking place within the industry. Computers in Libraries is North America’s largest technology conference and exhibition for librarians and information managers. With over 3,000 in total attendance, the 15th annual conference featured more than 100 dynamic speakers in four simultaneous tracks, pre- and post-conference workshops, a Wednesday evening program, and the 2-day Computers in School Libraries “conference within a conference.” The exhibition portion of Computers in Libraries showcased over 100 companies, offering visitors a variety of products and services in all aspects of library technology, including online services, Internet software tools, Web-based products and services, integrated library and information systems, CD-ROMs, document delivery services, content suppliers, and more. “As usual, the Computers in Libraries focus provides me with a room full of prequalified leads,” said Chris Kirby, library systems consultant for Auto-Graphics, Inc. “If even one of the prospects I’ve identified comes through, I will be extremely pleased. Great show!” In addition to Computers in Libraries, Information Today, Inc. is the organizer of the National Online Meeting, Internet Librarian, and Internet Librarian International conferences, as well as the upcoming KMWorld Conference & Exposition. ITI is also the publisher of Information Today, Computers in Libraries, Searcher, MultiMedia Schools, KMWorld, and Link-Up. Computers in Libraries
