EDITOR'S NOTE
Fond Farewells
by Brandi Scardilli
Are there people out there who actually like change? If you’re one of them, please teach me how to have your attitude. I have trouble dealing with all change, even the positive kind. I’ve tried to adopt the line from Hairspray as my mantra—“You can fight it, or you can rock out to it!”—but still, change is tough for me. And I have two tough goodbyes to say this issue.
Gwen Gregory is stepping away from writing her column, EDI Perspectives (page 9). You’ll meet her replacements in the next issue—and I have to say, I’m very excited to be working with them, as much as I will miss Gwen’s fantastic writing and enthusiasm for the job. I wish her luck in her future endeavors.
Lauree Padgett is ending her column, In Other Words (page 24). I’ll miss her puns and her concise explanations of what our company’s other publications are up to. But luckily for me, she’s not going anywhere—just changing up her duties slightly at Information Today, Inc. I can still talk to Lauree anytime I want to discuss our mutual loves: Broadway shows, Hugh Jackman, and Harry Potter.
Hope you enjoy the issue (and the holiday season)!
