Dialog Expands Alliance with Frost & Sullivan

Dialog Corp. has announced an expanded, exclusive licensing and content alliance with San Jose, California-based Frost & Sullivan, an international marketing-consulting and -training company.

The agreement allows Dialog to offer worldwide users of its three online services—Dialog, Profound, and DataStar™—site licensing rights to electronically access Frost & Sullivan's analytical information. Site licensing arrangements enable Dialog to customize highly tailored packages for its customers that offer unlimited searching and document retrieval of Frost & Sullivan materials at fixed monthly subscriptions.

The agreement also increases the flow of Frost & Sullivan's in-depth and extensive strategic analysis added to the three Dialog services and is available for online retrieval.

An expanded roster of strategic research databases covering industrial, healthcare, and communications/information technology industries, companies, and topics are now being added to the Dialog services. Approximately 40 newly released Frost & Sullivan analyses are added monthly. No other online information service offers access to Frost & Sullivan strategic insights, according to the announcement.

In 2001, Frost & Sullivan acquired technology analyst Hewin International. Strategic analysis dealing with technical and international marketing issues produced by Hewin's researchers is now fully integrated into the Frost & Sullivan content pool that's available through Dialog services.

New this year, Frost & Sullivan's Executive Summits division has redefined the traditional conference format for executive clientele. Through a reconstructed, client-centric philosophy, Frost & Sullivan has unveiled a new concept for high-level strategic learning and sharing.

Frost & Sullivan's Market Insights provides strategic solutions for critical challenges and opportunities in a changing marketplace. Using Frost & Sullivan's Market Engineering research methodology, each Market Insight presents summarized market analysis in a concise document.

This agreement expands a 1997 exclusive partnership between Frost & Sullivan and Dialog, called Frost & Sullivan Electronic Distribution, through which the online information offered by both companies was offered to each other's clients. That cross-marketing program continues to be provided by the two companies.

On Dialog services, the Frost & Sullivan content may be found in Files 765 and 767. On the DataStarT service, the materials are in Files FSER and FSMR. On the Profound service, the content is available through ResearchLine.
