West Group and Factiva have announced an expanded alliance that will
result in enhanced access to global news and business information from
Factiva for customers of Westlaw, West's legal research service. West has
also announced that it has acquired the assets of legal publisher The Harrison
Co.
Factiva Alliance
According to the announcement, the new alliance, which builds upon an
earlier agreement, confirms Westlaw as the only online legal research service
to carry Factiva content, which includes Dow Jones and Reuters news wires
and The Wall Street Journal. These, and more than 6,000 other Factiva
sources, are currently available on Westlaw through Dow Jones Interactive.

The Harrison Co.
Located in Atlanta, The Harrison Co. is a 94-year-old regional legal
publisher for the southeastern U.S., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia,
North Carolina, Louisiana,Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia. Terms of
the transaction were not disclosed.
Harrison's products, which include someof the region's most authoritative
and trusted legal titles, will be fully integrated into West's print and
online product offerings. This integration strengthens West's leadership
position in this region, offering customers a library of integrated, analytical
legal research products.
