NuvoMedia Expands Rocket eBook Line, Lowers Price |
The Rocket eBook Pro, a 22-ounce handheld electronic reader, can hold at least 19,000 pages (about 50 novels) of text and graphics at a time. The enhanced software features an embedded browser that provides one location to purchase, manage, categorize, and access titles from within the RocketLibrarian. Making it even easier for users to highlight, annotate, or search text on the Rocket eBook Pro, this update also includes Fonix’s Allegro handwriting recognition software.
Rocket eBook Pro owners also receive complimentary 1-year subscriptions to their choice of three publications from the recently announced eNewsstand, which features content from traditional and online publications, such as The Industry Standard, The New York Times on the Web, TheStreet.com, Salon.com, Bloomberg News, and the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition.
With the RocketWriter feature, users can download original content and Web pages to the Rocket eBook Pro, as well as share their documents on the e-book community-focused Web site, http://www.Rocket-Library.com. In addition, readers have the option to purchase a 32-MB memory upgrade, allowing them to hold up to 56,000 pages of published works, personal documents, and Web pages. The Rocket eBook Pro is available from http://www.Rocket-eBook.com, in stores, and online. Readers can purchase and download titles from Powell’s Books (http://www.powells.com), eCampus Books (http://ecampus.com), or from Barnes & Noble (http://www.bn.com).
