Dialog Corp., a Thomson business and an international
provider of online-based information services, has announced plans for
the European rollout of its Quantum2 development program for
information professionals. According to the announcement, the program,
which builds on and enhances a successful Dialog program first introduced
in 1993, provides training and tools to enhance professional development,
with a special focus on strategies to develop leadership skills and demonstrate
the value of professional information services within organizations.
To coincide with the launch of Quantum2,
Dialog announced the appointment of Liz Blankson-Hemans to head the program
in Europe. Blankson-Hemans joins Dialog from Clifford Chance, a leading
law practice, where she was manager of the firm's Central Information Services
division.
"Information professionals are constantly facing
the need to prove the effectiveness of content selection and managed information
access within their organizations," said Blankson-Hemans, manager of Information
Professional Development for Dialog EMEAP. "Our goals with Quantum2
are to help information professionals not only communicate the value of
information centers, but take a leadership role in developing an information
strategy for their organizations.
"Having spent 15 years as an information professional,
I am acutely aware [of] what people in our industry need to help them develop
and grow. Dialog's Quantum2program is unique in the industry,
and I am delighted to be involved at such an exciting time for the company,
and the industry as a whole."
Quantum2 program membership is free
