divine Information Services has reported that,
following the November 2001 announcement that divine, Inc. of Chicago had
acquired the RoweCom group worldwide, RoweCom will now trade as "divine
Information Services."
Richard Hodson, U.K. managing director, said:
"We were all very excited when we joined such a large and innovative company
as divine. Now that we have a new identity we can forge ahead with plans
to further develop our subscription business and explore new opportunities
by capitalizing on the expertise and enormous strength that divine brings
to our operations in the U.K."
The re-branding has a scheduled implementation
during the coming months. According to the announcement, it not only emphasizes
how RoweCom's services complement divine's portal and knowledge management
products, but also reflects their own distinctiveness. divine Information
Services'Oxford office will continue as the base for processing periodical
subscriptions, serving libraries across the U.K. and in overseas territories
such as Scandinavia, the Middle East, and Brazil.
