As the Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian at UC Irvine, I am responsible for the life-cycle of electronic resources, including trials, licensing, purchasing, activation, error resolutions, renewals and cancellations.  I enjoy the technical aspects of my position as much as the opportunities to work closely with vendors and my librarian colleagues to ensure that our e-resource needs are met.  My professional goals are broadly based on my desire to create an upward trajectory in an academic library.  I am especially interested in how technology continues to present challenges and new and exciting territories for libraries, as well as the future of libraries in the digital realm, especially as it pertains to furthering scholarship within and among institutions.
