Heather Ruland Staines joined Springer Science + Business Media in early 2008 as the Global eProduct Manager for SpringerLink. Her particular responsibilities include digital preservation efforts, Library Advisory Board updates, and supporting Springer’s eProduct Managers in Asia. Prior to 2008, she was Editorial Director of Praeger Security International, a multi-format imprint of the Greenwood Publishing Group. Trained as an historian, she maintains a keen interest in how new technologies and publishing efforts benefit researchers and support librarians in their key missions.
