Genesis Hansen earned her MLIS from San Jose State University in 2003. Since 2004 she has worked at the Newport Beach Public Library, first as a Reference and YA librarian, then as Web Services Librarian, and currently as Web Services and Circulation Coordinator. In 2008, Genesis was selected to attend the first Eureka! Leadership Institute sponsored by Infopeople and the California State Library. In conjunction with the Institute, she is leading a project at NBPL to use customer input and usability testing to improve user experience in the Digital Branch, with the improved site scheduled to launch in fall 2009.
