| Ellen Naylor is the founder of Business Intelligence Source (BIS), particularly known for the sales-marketing aspects of competitive intelligence (CI) as well as cooperative intelligence (www.thecisource.com/coopintel), which builds strong people skills around leadership, connection and communication—often missing links in business. Ellen, who is full of the Irish blarney stone, is an expert primary researcher in just about any industry. She conducts win/loss analysis and trade show collection & is an avid social networker. Prior to forming BIS in 1993, Ellen initiated a CI operation at Bell Atlantic (Verizon subsidiary) and conducted extensive financial CI and forecasting at Northwest airlines. She has excelled in both B to B sales (Bell Atlantic) and B to C sales (fine jewelry) and markets her husband’s oil paintings. Ellen speaks extensively www.thecisource.com/workshops and writes for CI Magazine www.thecisource.com/publications. Ellen holds an MBA from UVA’s Darden Graduate School of Business, and a BA in international studies at the University of Notre Dame. Ellen grew up in an international community in Yokohama, Japan, speaks French, rusty Japanese and is comfortable leading cross-cultural teams. |
