Tasha Squires currently works as a young adult consultant for the Shorewood-Troy Public Library District in Shorewood, IL collaborating and implementing programs for teens. Previously, she was the Young Adult Librarian for the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL for over eight years. In her tenure there, she worked extensively with the public school district and made wonderful connections with the teachers, students and administrators. Tasha has presented throughout northern Illinois and at the Illinois Library Association's yearly conference on topics such as teen award winners, booktalking for middle school students, and collaborating with schools to serve young adults. She contributed an article to the book in Know Kidding, The Best of the Best in Youth Services (Wheeling, IL 2003) and lisjobs.com and her book Library Partnerships: Making Connections Between School and Public Libraries was recently published. She is looking forward to beginning her new career as a school library information specialist. Tasha holds an MLIS and certification from Dominican University.
