Michael Miyazaki is currently a Documentation/Training Specialist for PsycINFO products at the American Psychological Association. A 25 year veteran of the information industry, Michael started as a trainer for the Compu-Mark U.S. trademark research database. He then joined the Cambridge Scientific Abstracts marketing department where he was part of the team that launched the Internet Journal Service, the first Web-best A&I database. In his work for marketing for CSA, ProQuest, and the APA, Michael has worked in various areas concerning the user experience of electronic publications including creating training programs and help materials, organizing beta testing, coordinating the launch of new products, and organizing library advisory council activities. He graduated with a degree in linguistics from Georgetown University and is currently pursuing a masters in distance education. |
