Michael J. Spendolini, Ph.D., is
the founder and President of MJS
Associates, a management consulting firm located in Monarch Beach, California,
whose clients include BP-Amoco, Pepsico, Motorola, ScrippsHealth, AlliedSignal,
General Motors, ABB, Novartis, Phelps Dodge, Disney Epcott, and Nokia.
Prior to forming MJS Associates, he held a number of managerial
positions with Xerox Corporation.
Dr. Spendolini has authored over 50 articles on the subject of
benchmarking, and has written one of the best selling books on the subject, The
Benchmarking Book, First and Second Editions (AMACOM)
Michael has also authored over 20
articles on the subject of “best
practices” customer measurement and management systems, and is completing books on the topics of improving customer measurement and on-line
measurement systems.
Dr. Spendolini has developed and
delivered seminars on the subjects of benchmarking and customer measurement
systems for a variety of American and international organizations. He has presented seminars, consulted, and
spoken at conferences in over 30 countries.
He presents the subjects for the American Management Association
International, the Motorola Management Institute, and as an adjunct faculty
member at the CalTech Industrial Relations Center in Pasadena. He is a member of ASQ, The American
Psychological Association, The Association for Quality and Participation, and
the OD Network.
