SoftBook Press introduces publishing solutions for corporate customers

Announces the introduction of a new system by SoftBook Press Inc. of Menlo Park, CA (800). Says that the system enables companies to distribute critical business documents securely, using Internet technology and the SoftBook electronic book reader. Indicates that the complete system is comprised of four components: SoftBook Reader ($699.95), a portable electronic reader; SoftBook Publishing ToolKit ($995), software that prepares documents for secure display; SoftBook Express (per seat pricing), services for content delivery via existing Web sites; and SoftBook Network Services, a secure portal. Notes that the SoftBook Reader has a built-in modem that allows users to download documents directly, without first having to download them to a PC. Includes one screen display.
