ixMicro offers technology solutions for video streaming to enhance training and learning

Announces ixJet Network Video Explorer from ixMicro, a product designed to simplify distance learning and corporate training by integrating the Web and networked video. Says the product combines controlled audio and video streaming, multiple document and video browsing and editing, and Web-enabled hypermedia browsing. Claims it enables users to organize and play back training videos stored in formats varying from low-bit MPEG-1 to high quality MPEG-2 streams, and notes that the videos can be viewed on the desktop as they are being transmitted, eliminating the need for local data storage. Adds the media server monitors network traffic and buffer space, and automatically adjusts the playback rate to ensure continuous play.
