Mediasurface Releases New Version of Content-Management Software

Mediasurface, Inc., a provider of advanced content-management software and related services, with headquarters in London, has announced the introduction of Mediasurface 3.5, the newest version of its content-management application software. Mediasurface delivers a series of work-flow processes to facilitate the creation and publishing of business content.

By separating design and navigation from content, Mediasurface software allows a wide range of users within an enterprise to monitor, update, and administer prescribed areas of an enterprise's content over the Internet and other digital networks in an easy-to-use, secure, and centrally controlled process, according to the announcement.

The new release includes the following features:

  • Interaction—The product's functionality supports user roles, rules, and processes and allows contributors, whether inside or outside the organization, to interactively create content while adhering to business processes through its flexible work-flow capabilities.

  • Intelligence—Mediasurface 3.5 enables the user community to intelligently store and retrieve content when needed.

  • Integration—The product provides new integration capabilities, including pre-built adapters for application servers, commerce applications, content-exchange tools, and a software developer's kit.
With Mediasurface 3.5, users can contribute to and interact with business intelligence through a Web site or other chosen channel, remotely and dynamically, regardless of location. This is achieved through the Mediasurface 3.5 user-access and security model, which enables users to fully interact with the dynamic content of the site according to their preset rights. For example, a business can allow its partners to remotely contribute content to its Web site. However, the business will still maintain complete control over what is published on the site and can restrict access to areas that contain sensitive information.
