Central, Eastern Europe Directory
The new edition of Major Companies of Central and Eastern Europe and
the Commonwealth of Independent States contains comprehensive profiles
for more than 9,800 companies, trade organizations, manufacturers, financial
institutions, and government-related business organizations in 27 countries.
According to the company, additional research time has been devoted to
adding a greater depth of information, including major products and joint
ventures, plus more detail on company activities and products.
Pauline Murphy, Graham & Whiteside’s sales and marketing director, said: “The recent upheavals in Serbia, the troubled summer in Russia—these stories, and others like them, are the ones most often reported by Western media. However, in the course of researching Major Companies of Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, our editorial team uncovered a different and more positive side to life in the region. For example, the marked increase of Internet technology, as elsewhere in the world, by many companies and the great strides being taken by countries such as Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia as they work toward possible EU [European Union] membership.”
Additional information provided for each company listed includes (as
available) company name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and
Web addresses, names of 85,000 senior management and board members, description
of business activities, brand names and trademarks, subsidiaries and associates,
number of employees, financial information for the last 2 years, principal
shareholders, and public/private status.
Major Companies of Europe
Described by the American Reference Books Annual as “an extensive
library resource” that would be “valuable to anyone doing business in the
European area,” this new edition of Major Companies of Europe contains
current and comprehensive company profiles for over 35,000 leading businesses
throughout Europe. In excess of 10 percent more companies have been added
over the last 12 months, and the directory now features six volumes, as
opposed to four in previous years.
In addition to the increased number of listings, by expanding the team of expert researchers, the directory now offers greater depth of information, including, for the first time ever, major products, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and ticker symbols.
Murphy said: “Good, ongoing dialogue with our customers is essential for us to be able to bring to market the publications that people really want. It can be tempting to rest on your laurels, and as the leading directory of its type, we knew that Major Companies of Europe was already providing our clients with a quality of information they couldn’t find elsewhere. With the enhancements we have made, we are confident our customers’ needs are being better served than ever before.”
Additional information provided for each company listed includes (as available) company name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and Web addresses, names of 392,500 senior management and board members, description of business activities, brand names and trademarks, subsidiaries and associates, number of employees, financial information for the last 2 years, principal shareholders, and public/private status.
