| Jenny has taught for over 30 years. In the last 20 years she has been a technology teacher grader K-8. Now she is a Makery Facilitator K-8. "Makery" being our homegrown name for a fabrication lab that included computers, sewing machines, felting supplies, robotics, a laser cutter and 3D printers. She is now at a girl's school in San Francisco and is designing collaborative projects that emphasize the STEM disciplines. Her most fruitful collaborations have been with the librarian, Susan Faust. Jenny worked at Childrens Computer Workshop and for Bank Street Center for Children and Technology before going back into the classroom. Her current interests include creating more tinkering and makerspaces in elementary schools especially for girls. |
