Professor J. Stephanie Collins earned a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems in 1990 from the University of Wisconsin. She has taught in the field since 1988, and has published papers in various journals, and presented at conferences. She has published papers on Information Technology Outsourcing and Technology Applications for Economic Development, IT Education, and on technical issues. She has also worked as an IT consultant, and has developed several systems. Her current research is focused on how the uses of internet technologies change the environment for business and for education.
