Conference Overview
We are pleased to present the first annual Internet Librarian International  the ONLY international conference for information professionals who are using, developing, and embracing Internet, intranet, and Web-based strategies in their roles as information navigators, Webmasters and Web managers, content evaluators, product developers, searchers, guides, and more.  As the premier tools for information managers and librarians, Internet technologies are the focus of this conference.  The conference provides an active forum for our excellent speakers to explore the many and exciting range of issues and challenges facing information professionals today.

The first annual Internet Librarian International is a mixture of leading edge ideas and tools as well as exciting new services — all focused on information professionals and Internet related technologies.  It features over 75 dynamic speakers in three simultaneous tracks plus 18 workshops.  Internet Librarian & Libtech International 99 covers Internet services, Web tools, case studies of Internet and Intranet librarians, content management, future issues and trends, as well as strategies for libraries using the Web  creating digital collections, providing services virtually, training and instruction, and more. Catering to leaders and learners, Internet Librarian & Libtech International 99 will be of interest to all information professionals.
 

SPECIAL FEATURE • MONDAY, 29 MARCH 16:00
Alan Howarth CBE MP, Minister for the Arts, Department of Culture, Media and Sport, will outline the Government's plans for having computers and the Internet in every school in the UK, finance available for public library authorities, and the Governments own use of the Internet.
 

LOCATION
All conference sessions and the Exhibition are being held at Olympia 2.
All workshops take place at the Novotel Hammersmith.
 

CATERING
Refreshment facilities are located on the Exhibition Floor of Olympia 2. Further restaurants are open in the Grand and National Halls where the London International Bookfair (LIBF) takes place on 29 and 30 March.

Visitors and delegates to Internet Librarian and Libtech International are entitled to visit LIBF on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 March.
