Zoe Chao, Metadata Librarian, University of New Mexico
Zoe Chao is currently the Metadata Librarian at the UNM University Libraries. In addition to developing best practices for metadata creation and creating application profiles for digital collections, she enjoys studying the metadata related to user behavior and designing web interface. Previously, she was the Portal Librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she was responsible for harvesting and ingesting metadata into the web portal, Illinois Harvest. She was also involved in large-scale digitization projects at UIUC. Zoe has an MLIS from UIUC, and an MS in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University.
