Jessica Simons

Jessica Simons received her BA in English from Saint Mary’s College of California and her MLIS from San Jose State University. While at San Jose State, she began working at The Athenian School as a Library Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Librarian upon graduation. At The Athenian, she implemented and managed their online social networking presence, helped design and updated the website, and managed both print and eBook cataloging. She has presented on topics such as information literacy, book discovery tools, copyright, ebooks, Creative Commons, and ePortfolios. Jessica is particularly interested in how libraries can use new technologies to better serve their community and enhance their public perception.  She currently works as a Librarian at Moreau Catholic High School.
