Doris Small Helfer, Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities Librarian, Oviatt Library, California State University, Northridge

Doris Small Helfer is Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities Librarian at California State University Northridge.  She writes  in "Searcher Magazine: the Magazine of the Database Professional".   Her B.A. is from CSU Northridge and her M.S.L. is from Western Michigan University. 

She served as President of the Southern Calif. Chapter, Chair of the ITE Division, Communications Division, and Knowledge Management Division, and on the SLA Board of Directors as Division Cabinet Chair.  In addition she has served as Chair of the Networking, Public Relations, Scholarship, and Information Outlook Advisory Council.  She recently won the Distinguished Teacher of the Year award at her University and was named to the SLA Hall of Fame.
