Jackie Siminitus is a library advocate. Most recently, she is the VP-Communications and Web 2.0 Project Manager for the California School Library Association (CSLA) and sits on a number of boards and advisory councils. She previously worked for AT&T in Consumer Affairs and the Education First team for 21 years. Prior to working in the telecommunications industry, Jackie was VP and Director of Library and Publications for HRN, a Philadelphia-based public affairs/social responsibility consulting firm for Fortune 200 companies. She has a Masters in Library Science from Drexel University and taught a “Marketing Libraries in a Networked World” at San Jose State University Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.
In 2010, she helped develop the public awareness campaign, the California Campaign for Strong School Libraries (librarycampaign.csla.net) and the Campaign's Library Store with illustrators galore at cafepress.com/csla.
