Dr. Sharon Q Yang, Associate Professor/Systems Librarian, Rider University

Dr. Sharon Yang has been working in the library automation field for eighteen years. She received her MS in 1988, Certificate for Advanced Librarianship in 1989, and Doctor of Library Science in 1997, all from the School of Library Service, Columbia University. While working on her doctoral degree, she worked as the Head of Technical Services/Systems at Wagner College. She acquired her computer knowledge through work experience and by taking college classes and attending workshops in computer science. Dr. Yang is very active as a speaker at many national and international conferences. She now works as Systems Librarian and Associate Professor with Tenure in Rider University Libraries, New Jersey.
