Diana Friend is the Communications & Marketing & Marketing Director for the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. She joined the library staff in 1999 to meet the challenge of opening the new $23 million facility. She and her staff of two support eight departments within the library, as well as the Friends of the Library and The Library Foundation organizations.

Diana has worked in the communication industry for over 30 years, with experience in business development, marketing, fundraising, and as a magazine editor. She is a member of the Greater Topeka Chamber Power Breakfast committee, Sales and Marketing Executives of Topeka, and has been a member of Topeka IABC and The Association of Women Communicators. She has also volunteered her time with Community Living Opportunities, Kansas Children’s Service League and the Kansas Quarter Horse Association.
